Welcome to Neverwinter Oathbound Paladin Devotion Stella Build MOD15
Hey Guys!! Mork Kenji here! New MOD15 is up on console. I’ve made some changes
that only one that i’ve been use. You can heal, buff and attack as well so it’s like a Hybrid build.
This setup is similar with my Paladin Tank so it’s easy to switch anyway. LoL. Enjoy!!

Hi, what the weapon powers YOU USE for tank and heal build?

    • June 4, 2018 at 1:57 am

I’m tank using my Tank build, but if you wanna try tanking using this devotion, Use this rotation: Absolution > Vow > Cleanse Touch (Heal) or smith (Damage). But it’s hard to pull agro with heal, coz we not enough treat like protection mechanic.

I’m not understanding your PowerShare, pally powershare only 25% from feats that’s it right?

    • Bartholomew
      June 14, 2018 at 3:14 am

The pally powershare is from it’s gear yes. It’s based off the paladin base power. It not only shares to your allies but their companions as well. So if your allies are running good bonding enchantments, they will get the 25% from you and their companions will get 25%. When the companion attacks the ally will get a set % from their companion based on their bonding enchantments as well. So not only are they getting 25% power from you but a ton of power from their companion because of you. Sorry for the long reply how it helped you understand

          June 15, 2018 at 12:20 am

Ok didn’t know it shares to companion, very cool. What makes is feytouch so good? Oh and for rotations on a Protection, do u go in with TW or hit something then pop TW? Because I’m having a hard time understand first engagement with mobs for T9G, or MSP.

          • June 17, 2018 at 11:49 am

Equip gravestrike at companion is for strengthening paladin damage with power build and its free rings. For Fey weapon enchantment, its good for any class.

There is a typo in the Earth Archon I think. It says on your post that you get and additional 5.0% for each additional active archon. I think it should be 0.5% instead of 5.0%, but I could be wrong. On my Earth Archon it says 0.5%, so I assume that it would be correct. Just an FYI.

hi, my friend is making a op and he wants to know for damage is it worth making a power build with owlbear or just go for 100% crit?

  • June 20, 2018 at 9:48 am

very beatiful guide, like tyhe other one!!
i love hte Healadin and this build it become the main in grop dungeon and quest!
I know that it can be strange, but i love to be a healer in pvp too… did you have some suggestion for power and rotation in this specific area?
Excuse me, my bad english and my stupid questions, but i really want to become a good healadin and this guide gives me very good performance, and i want to be better has a healadin every day 🙂

    • June 28, 2018 at 4:22 am

Yeah, for Healadin PVP quit difficult to survive. I never try it coz i already have the Tank PVP build. For rotation on healadin, use: Vow, Bond and Burning light or Smith. You can use the Cleasing Touch to help fast heal other player.

      Already on my guide 😀

        June 28, 2018 at 1:15 pm

But I can’t find them! DOH! Why am I so thick? And why couldn’t you just tell me now?

I was in a huge hurry rushing yesterday as I was in PM chat in-game with that OP Devotion who just reached 70, and wanted to tell him which Wootz weapons to buy with the class feature and At Will bonus already unlocked. He’s got them now. I think he picked Radiant strike, I forget the Aura.

I also want to use this guide myself for 2nd load out for my Protectors. I downloaded it, so I can check in detail later.

Maxing CON, Power and Max hp is also the thing for Devotion? More WIS is pointless? Interesting. Sort of counter-intuiitive.

          September 1, 2018 at 5:41 pm

Picking Wisdom isn’t useless. If you’ve already hit 200k HP and have the guild HP boon. You can move the constitution points to wisdom as I did. You gain more healing and get more crit. Heals crit.

    June 27, 2018 at 6:59 am

I have a Devotion OP friend who just reached 70 (was 46 before the patch!) and wants to use this build. She has not got the free artifact yet, so should she pick the Lantern, the Waters or the Catalogue? I’m guessing not the Catalogue. She just bought some Wootz weapons and I can help her with Vault of the Nine later.

    • June 28, 2018 at 4:28 am

Pick the Lantern. Weapon Wootz are still ok for beginner. Then can get seal of brave after this to get the primal weapon.

      • Contractions of Fate
        June 28, 2018 at 1:20 pm

Cheers, I figured Lantern. She can use that if she goes Protector in 2nd Loadout as well. I’ll help her run VotN for her OP Sigil later today, and tell her where to do the Lantern quest. She’s one of those new players who stampeded to 70 in two days, didn’t do the main quest at all, didn’t learn her class yet and has zero Boons. But now wants BIS gear and to run the top tier epic dungeons immediately.

If I can’t get those rings seeing as I don’t have TONG unlocked. What other rings would be good placeholders until I can farm TONG? Primals?

Quick question, why do we want to take the Control Strength feat? I’m not seeing anything that would really benefit from it, unless I misread something.

Hey Mork, I was wondering if you are going to update your build for Bavoria. All this new gear has me go uh, oh, ah maybe, erm what if….. Erm, oh. I have limited time to play so always cross check with both your healdin/burnadin build and tank. So, please let us lesser mortals know your thoughts on mod 14. Oh and as always excellent guide.

      December 21, 2018 at 12:19 pm

Welcome back! I almost made the same “Huh? I thought Stella was Protector?” mistake I made before! But I’ve been looking for a good Burnadin guide, so Cheers!

One question, why does no one mention Half-Elf anymore as a Paladin race? They have +2 CON and +2 WIS/CHA, which seems perfect.

Knack for Success gives them +1% Deflection, Crit Severity and gold Gain.
Dilettante gives them +1 to non-class Attribute, which for the OP is +1 DEX (also for SW and CW).

Granted, it doesn’t look as great as the Tiefling and Dragonborn racials, and the extra three Heroic feats of human is not to be sniffed at, but apparently the Dwarf bonuses have not worked properly for years. In fact, at one time on PC in PvP, they seemed to have the opposite effect.

But Dwarves are a fun race to role-play. Just be all grumpy in a Scottish accent! I have 2 DCs and a GF. And they have the +2 CON and WIS/STR, and CON+WIS just intuitively “feels” right for a Devotion Paladin.

I have a Halfling, Tiefling, Dragonborn and Human Paladin. I am really thinking of race-re-rolling either the Human or DB to Dwarf, as it would be daft to roll yet another one. And I MUST have a Halfling and a Tiefling of every class, so they have to stay.

But what’s up with the Half-Elf these days? Why are they never listed as a natural OP race?

      • December 26, 2018 at 7:34 am

Hi, Contractions of Fate. Not sure why people not recommend Half-elf in paladin race. I’ve been collecting all info and none of them use Half-Elf although they have +2 Constitution +2 Charisma and a bonus of gaining +1% Deflect, +1% Critical Severity, and +1% Gold Find. I never try it so i’m not sure rathe is good or not. But like i said, race doesn’t matter and it only affect 1-2% only. Anyway, i’m not playing devo that much only at Tiamat and CODG. I’m also not good in bane player in console coz its sucks ( I get bane companion and that is stupid!!). But when my friend want to become tank use Guardian Fighter, then i will switch to devo. It’s fun to heal, kill and the same time bane player and mobs. But mostly at console they need Pally tank rather Devo and this is different with PC player where they want devo because can keybind the bane. I can’t wait for MOD 15, want to see how much the burnadin can make damage. LoL.

I basically play your PowerShare DPS build but my guild wants a Devo but I’m concerned about survivablely, and absolutely can’t go without the temp hit points from TW. So how does this build address this issue? Thanks, your build guides are awesome ?

  • January 2, 2019 at 3:32 am

    Hi Carrol, if you have other tank in the group, I assume it’s a GF, so there is no problem become devotion. I love become devotion at CODG, it’s fun keep everyone alive and bane everything, LoL. For survival at dungeon end game;
    1) Sanctuary is your best friend. You need to use the shield always.
    2) Keep a distance because you are not Tank, you can bane player/mobs from distance, more like DC.
    3) For fast heal, use Cleanse Touch
    4) Use armor enchantment like Soulforge if you mistake keep dying
    5) Other than that, hopefully the Tank agro the mobs like we always do…

    ~Good Luck.

Im new to the OP class, and just stated making one with the recruitment event. I was debating on the choice between paladin and gf, and I just never hear anyone saying they dont love their paladin. I was reading through some of the builds you have and I was impressed but still not pro at what I am looking at. My main has been a GWF, so Its all kinda new.
In reading yours I saw that its based on a come as you are, or compromised version that serves every need, if I understood correctly? Is there a dps and a group seperate build to put up on each loadout? or would that be unnecessary?
Also with companions and mounts I have been told 100 different suggestions, If you wouldn’t mind maybe a little feedback when you have time i would appreciate it. I have the deep crow hatchling, I was thinking a Tamed Raptor or going with a couple arcon’s but its a difficult task getting a good starting point going. I thought I had done well with the phoera both mystic and regular, until I realized either they or you have to die to get the active bonuses.
any help would be appreciated I love the class.

Hi and thanks for coming by, i try to answer what i know..

      1. Is there a dps and a group separate build to put up on each loadout?
Before this YES, i have one, but when it came to the new MOD 15, it’s useless to become a DPS Tank or DPS heal because everyone need a good Powershare Paladin. And Paladin can’t become HDPS when other DPS class already surpass the Paladin damage, unless you are 18-19K item level paladin. So i just use the combination powershare and dps as well. Before this, i don’t remember what MOD, Paladin Tank are hard to get a threat, so that’s why we need an oriented DPS build like using DPS companion and so on. Now they fix it and there is no problem if you less DPS build coz is easy to get the threat except if there are some GF around. This is for tank, for Devotion, mostly people need the bane-paladin that can bane DPS, unfortunately is impossible to lock the bane to the other player in console, except you are in PC. So this build is hybrid where you share power and DPS a bit.. just to get balance and enjoy the class.

      2. Also with companions and mounts I have been told 100 different suggestions, If you wouldn’t mind maybe a little feedback?
It’s depend on you, If you are so particular to become a Powershare paladin, go for powershare companion, but if you think you already share enough power (All radiant enchantment/Power Mount/power boon etc), why not use some of the DPS companion for have fun a bit. If you are elitis just play with your 18K team.. go for powershare all the way because you don’t need an attack just become a punching bag or devo-bane. But if you doing a random dungeon/solo content and you need to kill mobs fast, go for mixing the DPS companion. I’m sure not everyday you play you will get a good team.

Other then my suggestion in my MMO, i never use or heard from my friend, so i’m not wasting my AD to try any companion that not compatible with the Paladin class.

Sorry my english not that good.. hope you understand my explanation. LoL
      Enjoy become a Paladin. ~Cheers

Hey Mork Kenji. Just question I run builds just like your Devo and prot for my OP. My IL is 17.5k but we have an over 18k pally that runs prot all the time and has top stuff. We are a smaller guild only normally 8 of us playing at one time and that’s rare but me and the other pally are cool and run allot of content when I play as my dps. Question is I want to play my pally full time would a 2 pally group work for end game runs if one does Devo and one does prot and put on different powers to compliment each other and the group?

    • Blake Steffenhagen
      February 8, 2019 at 2:28 am

Also curious what your thoughts are to running a Haper Bard companion for the debuffs/buffs.

      • February 25, 2019 at 12:00 am

Before this i use Harper Bard but i didn’t like it. Your dps will be low because it’s a leader companion, and it didn’t attack. Better use tiger coz it’s attack and it debuf the enemy too.

    • February 24, 2019 at 11:57 pm

Both Paladin Protection and Devotion didn’t stack there power, so it’s bit useless because others player will receive powershare from the higher power and i assume from the Protection. So, don’t play 2 pally in one group, better find DC then Devo. But, for large group like Tiamat / Demogorgon / CODG, we can’t do nothing bout that. I suggest you play as Devo when your team have a GF tank.
